What data does the app store?

Private Budget is a local-first personal budget app. Your financial records stay on your device. There is no app account and no Private Budget backend that stores your transactions.

Locally on the device it may store:

• transactions, categories, budgets, accounts and recurring payments
• receipt images and recognized line items (if you use receipts)
• app preferences (language, theme, lock, dashboard)
• optional local backups/exports you create yourself

This content is not transmitted to us.

Offline and network

Core budgeting works offline. The app initiates its own network connections only when you start optional features:

• Optional AI model download (e.g. Hugging Face / LiteRT Community) — connection metadata (e.g. IP) may be processed by the host. Receipt text and bookings are not uploaded for that purpose.
• Google ML Kit (on-device OCR) — processed locally; ML Kit may contact Google for model updates and anonymous API metrics (not receipt contents).
• Google Play — purchase/listing under Google’s privacy terms.

No analytics/crash SDKs and no ads in the app.

Receipts and optional on-device AI

Receipt OCR and optional structuring with a local model run on-device. Private Budget does not send receipt images/text to its own cloud AI server.

Permissions

• Internet — optional model download / ML Kit maintenance / Play
• Camera — only for receipt photos
• Biometrics / device credentials — only if app lock is enabled
• Files — only for import/export/backup via the system picker

Deletion

Delete bookings in-app, use wipe-all-data in Settings, clear app storage, or uninstall. Backup files you saved elsewhere remain under your control.

Welche Daten speichert die App?

Private Budget ist eine local-first Haushaltsbuch-App. Deine Finanzdaten bleiben auf dem Gerät. Es gibt keinen App-Account und keinen Private-Budget-Server, der deine Buchungen speichert.

Lokal auf dem Gerät können gespeichert werden:

• Buchungen, Kategorien, Budgets, Konten und wiederkehrende Zahlungen
• Belegbilder und erkannte Belegpositionen (wenn du Belege nutzt)
• App-Einstellungen (Sprache, Theme, Sperre, Dashboard)
• optionale lokale Backups/Exporte, die du selbst erstellst

Diese Inhalte werden nicht an uns übermittelt.

Offline und Netzwerk

Kernfunktionen (Buchungen, Budgets, Diagramme) funktionieren offline. Eigene Netzwerkverbindungen entstehen nur, wenn du optionale Features startest:

• Optionaler KI-Modell-Download (z. B. Hugging Face / LiteRT Community) – dabei können Verbindungsmetadaten (z. B. IP) beim Download-Anbieter anfallen. Belegtexte und Buchungen werden dafür nicht hochgeladen.
• Google ML Kit (On-Device-OCR) – Verarbeitung lokal; ML Kit kann Google für Modell-Updates und anonyme API-Metriken kontaktieren (nicht Beleginhalte).
• Google Play – Kauf/Listing gemäß Googles Datenschutz.

Belege und optionale On-Device-KI

Belegerkennung (OCR) und optionale Strukturierung per lokalem Modell laufen auf dem Gerät. Private Budget sendet Belegbilder/-texte nicht an einen eigenen Cloud-KI-Server.

Berechtigungen

• Internet – optionaler Modell-Download / ML-Kit-Wartung / Play
• Kamera – nur bei Belegfoto
• Biometrie / Geräte-PIN – nur bei aktivierter App-Sperre
• Dateien – nur bei Import/Export/Backup über System-Picker

Löschen

Buchungen einzeln löschen, „Alle Daten löschen“ in den Einstellungen, App-Speicher leeren oder deinstallieren. Von dir gespeicherte Backup-Dateien bleiben unter deiner Kontrolle.
